Friday Media Group Foundation is delighted to help promote the work of this amazing charity which has a head office locally in Uckfield, but whose work has a truly global reach and real impact on animal protection. The focus of International Animal Rescue is to save animals from suffering around the world, and campaigns are ongoing to help orangutans, dogs, cats, dancing bears and wild birds.
The work includes cutting free and caring for dancing bears in India, rescuing primates from captivity in Indonesia and sterilising and vaccinating stray dogs and cats in developing countries.
IAR work to educate the public in the compassionate and humane treatment of all animals. Sound scientific evidence forms the basis for the decision-making and determines the course of rescue operations. As the website puts it: “In all that we do we aim to find practical solutions that benefit both animals and people.”
